The Gold PP7 is a special PP7 with gold plating and the instant kill ability of the Golden Gun, therefore is the most powerful weapon in the game (tied with the Golden Gun in raw power). Like the regular PP7, it has a seven round magazine and uses 9mm ammo, giving the Gold PP7 a significant advantage over the Golden Gun.
Notes[]
- This weapon can only be obtained using cheats; it is unlocked by completing Cradle on Agent in under 2:15.
- The Gold PP7 uses the normal PP7's third person model during cutscenes.
- The Gold PP7 can be fired faster by holding the fire button and pressing the weapon switch button or press Z quickly.
- Interestingly, in the Man with the Golden Gun film, when Scaramanga proposes Bond for a duel, he says the words "My Golden Gun against your Walther PPK", with Bond responding "6 bullets to your one". Noticeably, the Gold PP7, by technical means, is their trademark pistols combined into one, as not only the gun's design, gold coloring and extreme power match, even the 7 round magazine lines up.
- Due to the clear magazine/ammunition advantage of the Gold PP7 over the Golden Gun while sharing the instant kill damage, the gold-plated PPK is highly considered one of the most overpowered weapons in any First Person Shooter video game.
Glitches and Hacking[]
- In certain cases, it can also be used to kill storyline characters who are equipped with "Plot Armor" in earlier missions, such as Ourumov and Trevelyan. However, it must be done before the "plot armor" applies (mainly when they begin escaping from Bond), otherwise, they become invulnerable and cannot be killed. This also applies to the Golden Gun.
