The Janus Special Forces (JSF) are the most well trained of Janus operatives. They appear to be part of Trevelyan's personal security detail and as such are usually armed to the teeth and carry heavy armor as reinforcements. Some also come without armor while others come with sunglasses.
They first appear in Bunker I. There they are sent in as reinforcements when the alarm is sounded by either the alarm being pulled near the entrance, being seen by a camera, or after Boris sets off the alarm after enabling the computer for Bond, whilst. This may serve as the first indication that Ourumov may be working for Janus.
They next appear in Statue Park as Trevelyan's personal security detail and have a similar job in Train and the Antenna Cradle.
In the Water Caverns, they guard Trevelyan and make sure the control pumps are being guarded and working properly.
In Cradle, however, this is also their last stand, there.
Weapons Used[]
The Janus Special Forces use the most weapons out of any characters in the game. When they appear with Trevelyan in Statue, they are armed with Automatic Shotguns. Next seen in Train, a few carry a D5K Deutsche while the rest wield ZMG (9mm)s, both single and dual. In the Water Caverns, they use ZMG (9mm)s, US AR33 Assault Rifles. Three initial guards use an RC-P90: two in the master control pump room where the radio is and one just outside it who also carries a code card. One in the master control pump room frequently throws a Hand Grenade with mixed results. After Trevelyan leaves on the elevator, reinforcements come wielding RC-P90s, both single and dual, and Automatic Shotguns. On the Antenna Cradle, they only use single or dual ZMG (9mm)s. In Bunker 1, when reinforcements are called, The ones who wear black berets carry a KF7 Soviet. The ones with the blue berets use dual Klobbs. And the ones with the red berets use single or dual DD44 Dostoveis.

Trivia[]
- In the beta or the prerelease GoldenEye 007, Janus Special Forces, were most likely to be terrorists, hired by Alec Trevelyan. Their first (or second, if counting Bunker I) objective would have been to take over the Missile Silo, take Russian Infantry as hostages and prepare to launch, but later on, it has been changed. Janus Terrorists were perhaps supposed to wear their tinted balaclavas and their armored uniforms, as well. The screenshots for this are seen in the gallery.
- Berets that are sometimes on JSF, can probably determine how much armor their wearing, while if they do not wear any berets, they may not have that much armor.
