Overview
The Pavlov ASR, known as Dragunov SVD in real life, is a Russian Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle designed by Yevgeny Dragunov. It has a 10 round box magazine and a PSO-1 telescopic scope. The Pavlov is a good sniper rifle, boasting a fast fire rate, however it doesn't match the damage and accuracy of other sniper rifles.
Single player
The Pavlov ASR is the first sniper rifle available in single player. It appears only in the Dam, and can sport two attachments, the Thermal Scope or a Silencer. I would definitely suggest finding the Pavlov and using it
the Pavlov ASR ingame
through the whole level, as it will prove useful in long range situations. In the Dam level, the Pavlov specifically appears in the beginning of the mission, where 007 and 006 initiate their assault on the Dam. The Pavlov can be found at the top of the first tower facing the entrance to the Dam, along with some extra ammo.
Multiplayer
The Pavlov ASR is unfortunately the weakest sniper rifle in the game. A hit to the chest will not, in most cases, kill an enemy. Also the Pavlov has poor accurancy, however, this is quite

unnoticable in matches. You'll be stuck with the Pavlov for quite some time and it's essential to learn how to use it as soon as possible. For attachments, we recommend attaching a Silencer on this weapon, since the recoil can be an issue when trying to take down a moving target. Thermal Scopes are also a good choice, but only some maps have a darkened enviroment, so use them in another loadout. Lasers Sights are quite pointless, because you'll be aiming through your scope most of the time, however if you don't use them, it won't make a difference. For perks, we recommend Heavy Hitter to resolve the damage issue, In addition, try to make sure that you use Bio Booster, on account of the fact that if you are sniping somebody, chances are, somebody else is trying to snipe you. If you are shot by a sniper you will be severely damaged, but not killed. this brings us to our last tip. Be ready to aim and shoot fast, since most people will use Reactive Armor and Bio Booster, one shot may not be enough, be sure to get multiple shots in to ensure that +5 EXP.
If you are skilled at using the Pavlov, it will allow you to rank up quickly.
